The first step is knowing when to buy your wedding dress and we are here to guide you through this process!
When it comes to your wedding dress, we want to make sure you have plenty of time to order. Many brides don't realize how long it can take for the production and delivery of the dress. It is also important to keep in mind that once the dress arrives to the bridal shop, alterations will be needed. Alterations allow the dress to fit your body shape comfortably!
When you start the wedding dress shopping early, there will less stress and more dress options available. You should put finding a wedding dress at the top of your priority list when planning your wedding. We always recommend that brides start shopping 10 to 12 months out from their wedding date, as our designer wedding dresses can take anywhere between 4 and 6 months for production and delivery. Choosing your bridal style doesn't have to be stressful. You'll have plenty of time to shop for your wedding gown a year before your wedding and to get it altered after it's delivered!
We also recommend that brides do research before booking an appointment with us. By researching inspiration online, brides will have a better idea of what styles and silhouettes they are interested in. Our Blush stylists love when brides send inspirational photos prior to the appointment. It allows our Blush stylists to understand more of your vision. The more we know about your personal style and what you gravitate toward, the better we can find the PERFECT dress for you! You can even build a Pinterest board and share it with us!
Also, noteworthy – many of our Blush brides plan to take pre-wedding photos in their wedding dress about 1-2 months prior to their wedding date, so keep this in mind when you start the shopping process at Blush Bridal Salon.
It is also important to keep in mind that you will need alterations. Our designer wedding dresses are special orders closest to your measurements. However, the majority of brides will need alterations. Alterations are a BIG part of this process, and depending on what you might need, it can take 2-3 months depending on the seamstress or tailor.
Are you a bride with a shorter time frame? We have options for you! You can purchase directly from our in-store collection or opt for a rush delivery. Rush delivery on special orders is not always available, but our Blush stylists will recommend styles available with a shorter time frame.
